Studio Assistant – Eugene – an update

January 23, 2017 • Leave a Comment

I’m sure you all remember my little assistant, Eugene. He has grown a lot over the past year and he is really taking his job to heart. He is a huge help around the studio and a very hard worker. His main responsibilities include modeling, napping, re-arranging props (aka eating them) and making sure I take regular breaks from my screen (by sitting in front of it).

Eugene’s favorite thing to do besides eating and napping is helping me with photo shoots. He loves photobombing my shots, trying out the samples and chewing on flowers. Which is all SUPER helpful, obviously. Relish Decor, the lifestyle boutique I mostly shoot for, loves having Eugene in their photos. He is the little star of their Instagram page and I’m sure he secretly enjoys it!

We rescued Eugene a little over a year ago but it feels like he has been with us forever. He’s found his place in our lives and definitely in our hearts. Eugene is a cute little fluff ball and has more personality than most. He is also a well-traveled kitty and has taken two road trips to Kansas! He loves visiting Casey’s family but especially his buddy Fatso. An 18-year-old cat that Eugene loves to jump on and play with. Poor Fatso!

I was a little concerned about Eugene during our move. The poor little guy seemed a little lost to be in this new place where nothing was familiar. He adapted very well, though and after a few days, he was right at home. He now has his favorite bird/squirrel watching spots in the house and he loves “terrorizing” them through the window.
